  1. How extraordinarily beautiful. I wish for some snow right now – Australia, stinking hot with incredible humidity at the moment. Horses and humans and birds and dogs and all creatures are feeling miserable!!!!

  2. I have just finished reading your beautiful amazing book. I cried many times along your journey. Seeing the actual pond feels very special. Thank you for sharing.

  3. They both hold great beauty… have to say I enjoy the transition better… the one when the leaves start turning green in fact… but I’m ahead of myself.

  4. I also enjoy the coming of spring! Actually this year our weather has been surprising mild! Only a frosting of snow once or twice (you know in NY thats not usual). Holding off changing to my snow tires (sign of winter). Honestly, cannot imagine living somewhere where there is no transition. Sounds almost dull! I imagine before long will be eating those words from soon until March or April. But then thats the story of season changing.

    • I wouldn’t mind no transition. As the weather gets more changeable every year, those of us who work outside face more cancellations on odd months and the income is ever more inconsistent.

      • Well, can you tell from my comment I’m not outside as much as I used to be? Now its only morning and evening when I walk my dog. No more 55 mile round trips from home to work to barn! Honestly – would rather still be doing them (home and barn/NOT work)! Visited Florida once years ago – humid & flat! But then, thinking about how the wind whipped around the hills near the barn – yeah I dont miss that!
