I mean to blur the edge,
a half-stop between dark and light,
of the distance between us.
He’s walked on from this place
but just over my shoulder,
his shadow warms the ground.

This made my heart catch in my throat….
I admit, I’m a bit bittersweet today. Thanks, Michelle.
Anna….this is so lovely!❤ Brought a tear to my eye! Just finished your 3rd book! Hopefully a new one is on the near horizon….
You are quite a wordsmith ….thank you for being an amazing advocate for the voiceless and disadvantaged animals?
Well, Sharon. I’m always writing, blogging, dreaming… as I work full-time. But since this is my retirement plan, I’ll keep at it. Thank you.
And in this case, I often feel the warmth of my 18-year old Siamese Snowshoe cat, Tinky, he brushes past my legs now and then and I look down — no cat is there.
Sometimes I see Joseph, my Irish Draught horse from my childhood and teenage years, galloping across the afternoon sky.
Always with us, they wait.

Thank you, Nuala.
Oh so lovely Anna! I dream of the days when my shadow reconnects with those who have gone before and I can thank them for all they taught me that I never fully realized when they were corporeal. Those lessons everyone who came after benefited from and built upon.
We’re the lucky ones; we owe a debt. Thanks for commenting.
Love. That is all.
Yes. Thanks, Karen.
Brings a tear.
It’s bittersweet owning horses, but you probably know that… Thanks, Jan.
