Photo & Poem: Moonlit

The path north to the barn,
icy mud slick with decomposing
leaves, as a spent season slips
away under the first scatter

of snow; inevitable change,
constant as the mystery abiding
behind the deep-water eye
of the moonlit gray mare.

  1. Impressed with your eye and your camera for always catching that “Just Right” moment showing the essence of the horse. Love Grey Mares-I’m becoming one too!
