Feel that tiny instant just after the thrust, the silence of soaring with hooves thundering down below. The push of his stride gives lift to dusk moments, untold dark memories that feel less than free.

(WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo–I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high tech.)
You captured a beautiful moment! I love your photos.
Thanks so much, I have great inspiration in the barn.
Awesome Anna!
In a tiny instant, just after my brain absorbs the image, my soul soars with the joy of the spirit of the horse. In the next tiny instant I crash to the ground, humbled & painfully aware of my very human short-comings.
Can’t believe that photo came from an amateur with an iPhone. Amazing.
Thanks. Maybe it is less the “camera” used, and more the wonderful creatures I share my life with… thank you so much.
Perfect Picture and comment. Keep wanting to stare at it.
Fly, baby, fly. (I want to feel as if…)
You lift us all up Anna. Great picture.
Thanks, Judy. The geldings were having a great time.
Love the photo. They must be feeling the nice fall weather. Its still hot here (Texas) I think we’re around 20 degrees above normal. Should be good for a third or fourth cutting of hay.
This is the pre-supper sprint! Thanks, Shirley.
Everything about that photo is amazing! Can’t stop looking at it. Thank you again for sharing your world with us!!
This was a fun shoot; you know the crowd. Edgar and Bhim were screaming around, too. More to come from this pre-supper sprint. Thanks, Peggy.
The freedom and joy expressed in this photos (well, all of yours, really!) brings tears to my eyes and I remember (vaguely) that same feeling of intensity and total trust in the future. Yes, the ground will be there after I kick out and soar in the air. Susie Mare and I are a tad older now and hopefully a little wiser and do not kick out w/wild abandon like we used to. Neither do we gallop for miles jumping every possible obstacle. We both miss it but enjoy our quieter rides now. We are together and that makes up for it all. No regrets…..
Exactly. Watching them I was remembering horses gone from me now. No regrets. Thanks, Evelyn.
Love the photo! They look joyful and free!
There are five in that pen and they love to buck and fart and have good ole-time horse fun. Thanks, Carolyn.
