Weekly Photo Challenge: Abandoned

WMabandoned

ABANDONED…..NO MORE!

Not the Corgis…Me.

I’m no longer abandoned in the bathroom, ostracized in a tiny damp room that smells of soap and lotion. No longer doomed to brief moments of loneliness and tragic solitude in this, the most dangerous room in the house. Being a Rescue Dogs, Walter and Preacher Man stay ever alert to possible threat, in case I need to be…well, rescued.

Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine now.

WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high-tech.

This blog is free, and it always will be. Free to read, but also free of ads because I turn away sponsorships and pay to keep ads off my site. I like to read a clean page and think you do too. If you appreciate the work I do, or if your horse does, consider making a donation.

  1. They had been looking for just this opportunity, to rescue the right human.
Am I imagining things or are their partial white collars mirror images? They sure are the same sable.

There is nothing like a corgi brain. And you’ll never be abandoned again.

    • They have such similar coats, they feel and look identical while their body types are opposites. Sometimes people ask is they are both purebreds. I say Yes, purebred puppy mill Corgis. And after a life with herding dogs, you are right. I will ESPECIALLY never be lost again.

  2. I’m so glad that you will never face the echoing porcelain abyss alone again! Ruby has gotten a little less vigilant about bathroom duty, but she still makes sure I come out of the shower alive each time, she must envision it as some kind of portal to Narnia.
