One of the first things you notice about living on the plains is that it’s kind of… well, plain. There isn’t a lot of variance in the landscape and not much visual interest on the ground. Shapes and colors are subtle, and a few years into a drought cycle, even more sparse. What we do have is a very clear, unobstructed view of the sky.
When I first moved here from the rainforest, I felt naked and exposed on the prairie, like there was no privacy. Now I have grown comfortable with myself, and with the open, no-place-to-hide honesty of prairie life, infinite as the sky.

WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone. No psych, definitely not high-tech.
Well, Dear Friend, i appreciate the no-place-to-hide honesty of the prairie, but having moved to your old neck of the rain forest, i am thrilled to not show up on Google Earth every time I I need to take an honest pee. XOXO Val
hehehehe! Val, thanks for the reminder. I will smile and wave from now on! Love to all my friends in your house and barn.
