Descent means ‘a way down’ and it is how we learn to ride. Our information and learning trickles down from the horse. In the beginning, it can seem like our job to train them and too many riders get lost trying to make their horses work by being adversarial–you can land at the bottom. Eventually some of us learn to listen to the horse. They have so much to teach us, but we have let go of our human arrogance to be a partner. Then we earn a better ride–respected and lifted by a horse.
Some of us have been speaking ‘horse’ for so long, that we have switched sides. We change nationality and become of Equine descent…

WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high tech.
I honestly thought horses looked good from most angles, but that definitely isn’t his or her “best” side 😉 Unique and insightful use of the photoprompt as always, Anna
I laughed out loud, this is Grace, who was an elite 25,000 prospect, retired years ago, and very, very pretty. This is her other side, kinda dorky…
Very interesting perspective as usual.
