Each horse is different, see how it goes. You may not even stay on for 20 min. in the beginning. Physically, they aren’t ready until their joint fluid is warm. As for the rest of them…it’s individual. Let me know how it is for your horse.
Question: In one of your blogs in previous years, you preferred that we asked no specific maneuver. Let the horse paint the picture. Let it decide where it wants to go. Is this figure 8 warm upper AFTER time spent letting the horse paint it’s own picture?
Painting his own picture would be walking out. Without us picking a path for him in the arena, fussing about being on the rail or not, just kind of point to point but most of all, walking out. From that begin the exercises, but a loose start with big strides. Thanks.
