Thank you! I always get so much from your voice overs. I noticed the side pull was very close to her eye and low on her nose. She has some rub marks, too. Does the nose band need to sit higher on her face? Her owner is a laid back and kind person. Julietta is his first horse. He’s been leasing another Spanish Barb gelding. We do have another man on the property who leans towards traditional Mexican cowboy horse training techniques. I was there for a sacking out session that made me cringe. So I kept breathing, but couldn’t resist saying, “Gentle, gentle!” I’ve got to say, all in all what I’ve seen of this little mare and how she’s been handling her challenges has really impressed me.
Thanks, Linda. Yes, the side pull is way too long, her nose there just has cartilege so she could get hurt. I didn’t see any release in her during the video, (calming signals with no calm in them) I’m not as certain that she’s handling things as well as she is trying to make it look, and she is very young for a first time horse owner, so please, keep breathing with her for all of us. She’s lovely, thanks for sharing her with us.

The other man had Julietta for her first few months on the property.
I’ll keep breathing. I’m sure you’re right. She has those stoic sideways flopping ears.
