hi Abby, great to meet you- I love the sound of your writing.
Its a great group, and its spills over into a FB page (if you’re facebook inclined!)
Look forward to reading your work,
kindest wishes from England, ElaineOctober 1, 2019 at 2:17 am #109548ElaineParticipantShelleca, I’ve had that embarrassed flush too, and wanted to look behind me and double-check Anna wasn’t talking to me directly!
September 28, 2019 at 8:18 am #109534ElaineParticipantLopinalong I wasn’t sure the not kissing noses thing would make such a difference, and altho it was so difficult to do, I too have noticed a real change.
Enbeshaler Anna must have so many horses thanking her daily!

I’m on the English South Coast, deep in the midst of the Dorset Countryside
What would you like the group to focus on? ( Examples: Talking about the art of writing? Sharing things we’ve written? The Business of writing? Shared support?? What thoughts do you have generally about how to start as we go forward?
Sharing things we write as we become a group
Shared support

Thoughts of where we would like our writing to take usApril 23, 2019 at 7:26 am #108152ElaineParticipantLinda, I can relate to this, so full of how life gets in the way!
Alas I’m not getting notifications when someone posts…
April 18, 2019 at 1:31 am #108101ElaineParticipantfb secret group page gives us a safe place to share if people wish to write personal content, or are unsure about non-participating members reading as we learn.
Otherwise we could begin on here, see how it feels, and then move en-masse if it doesn’t work?Personally I like the idea of more writing/less chat, and if we have to write our responses and encouragement of others its another way to think about how we write (and edit!)

Facebook good for meMarch 9, 2019 at 12:36 am #107668ElaineParticipantValery- thankyou, another lesson learned.
I understand completely your comments on readiness to drop any agenda; I think it is the question of balance that’s at the root of my question. The better clarity and direct intent I have, the more Bruce thrives. When I waver in decision-making he rushes into self preservation mode. So, I tend to get a bit single minded in order to keep the equilibrium.
As always, its looking into ourselves for the answer isn’t it!True is very lucky to have you as his equal partner.
March 8, 2019 at 11:17 am #107666ElaineParticipantthanks Zenbear,
oh how I know that rushed and wrangled feeling when you’re pressured with ‘help’ and a needs-must job!Bruce mouths rather than nibbles. Everything- halter, rope, jacket cuffs, all into his mouth and then he relaxes. He’s done it as long as I’ve known him and I’m still undecided if its remaining anxiety or habit.
The gist of your reply, together with Anna’s blog reminder of creativity, gives the answer that there is no fixed answer. It’s what feels right on the day, what works for both of us at that moment. I just must learn to trust my judgement on that!
March 7, 2019 at 11:04 am #107635ElaineParticipantthankyou Lisa, I love sharing your coffee too!
“have you tried doing nothing” is a great mantra, I’ll tell Kirsty that you’re using it and it might even warrant a rare, brief smaile.
Where are you based? I’m in the UKJanuary 31, 2019 at 10:34 am #87631ElaineParticipantsounds fab, I would love to be part of the Writing Group
