Hi all 🙂
My name is Emily and I have just had a clinic with Anna in North Qld Australia. I have read and followed Anna’s books and blogs for sometime now, all of which resonate as I try to navigate my way with my horses in a kind and affirmative way. It is great to share a space with many like minded people.
My husband and I have four horses – Billie my chestnut mare who is a QH x stock horse. Billie is 11 in December and the main horse that I ride and really is the one that has led me down this path. Miki is another mare who is a 13 year old registered stock horse – I feel again that this mare will continue the learning curve…. well they all do! I have a TB gelding called Hank (14 years old) who just hangs out in the paddock, he seems to not be interested in riding and I am happy to leave him be. He really is very much a cool calm fellow. The last horse to round out our herd is a little registered cutting bred QH. His name is Stinky Pete (from Toy story fame lol), he will be 5 in January and is the sweetest little thing.
I am also an Equine Therapist specialising in equine sports and remedial massage and have almost finished my diploma in equine and canine acupuncture. I meet so many horses in my work and studies that I carry with me everywhere. Being a massage therapist really has taught me to properly observe, breathe and wait and again is a stepping stone in my relationships with my own horses as well.
Excited about the journey 🙂
