I see that no one had added anything here for awhile, but since I am so thrilled to have found Anna and the wonderful Barnies I will jump in. Better late than never!

Actually Better Late than Never seems to be a constant theme these days. I rode very seriously through my mid twenties, off and on through my thirties and not at all since my mid forties. I have worked for a large animal welfare organization in Fort Worth Texas with an active Equine program going on 18 years so was not far away but tried to keep a bit of distance from the horses to keep my addiction controlled.

All that went South in February 2020 when I adopted Bella, a 16 year old TB mare. Posting on social media about Bella caught the attention of a former coworker and good friend I had not seen for awhile. Sandy used to run our Equine program years ago and we hadn’t seen each other much in recent years. I was posting about some of the issues I was having with Bella and Sandy sent me a link to Anna’s Blog with a note “You will like Anna, she is one of us!”

So I began to read Anna’s blog and loved everything I was reading, Bella started to respond to what I was learning. I bought and read all of Anna’s books, joined the barn and have already done four of Anna’s online classes. I was, and am, hooked and Bella and I are getting better every day! As a special bonus it has come full circle, our mutual friend Sandy and I have realized how much we missed each other and are spending time together with and without Bella.
