Photo Challenge: Transmogrify

Time and shadow
blurred our edges
until we became

each other in a
shared breath
never fully exhaled.

This blog is free, and it always will be. Free to read, but also free of ads because I turn away sponsorships and pay to keep ads off my site. I like to read a clean page and think you do too. If you appreciate the work I do, or if your horse does, consider making a donation.

  1. Beautiful, Anna. You reached deeply into my heart.

Your written words insure that you will NEVER be talking to yourself.

  2. Dear Anna In the days since I read of Spirit’s last journey, I’ve struggled to respond. Yet it’s not about me and my struggle, but about you and Spirit and the life you shared. How blessed that you found each other – and were able to be a part of each other. My heart aches and celebrates – hard to hold the duality of feeling but it’s there. A profound loss in the physical, being with you sense and a joy that you could grant him this last gift. Sending you compassionate energies as you navigate this – and holding hope that he’s once again healthy and frolicking in a green pasture waiting to be discovered if he hasn’t been already. Heart-felt love to you, Patricia Spencer (one of the many who benefit immensely from your words!).

  3. Anna, that was so beautiful. And the picture of the white horse touched me so as my Gabby was white and I lost her this spring. Riding and just being together. I’m 88 and am ‘sort of’ looking for a new horse. I have always had one or two. But nothing touches me as ‘the one’. I’ve just discovered your blog, and hopefully it will remind me what to do. Thank you.

    • Sorry for your loss, Shirley. And there is something about a white horse, isn’t there? Have fun “kinda” looking, and thanks for following along with us here.
