A barn is a place of meeting and joining. We come from all different directions, all different experiences and all different potentials. No one knows how it will be; who will shine brightest, who will leave us too soon. We live in horse time, we live in the moment. All we have is this twinkling when humans, horses, and peace converge. And that will do us just fine.

WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone, on my farm. No psych, definitely not high tech.
What a perfect way to describe the whole barn experience! And how true. AND how I miss it!!
Maggie, so sorry you are un-barned right now. Volunteer at a rescue maybe? It worked for me a few years back. Thanks for reading.
Love how you describe this as horse time. It is peace when we yield to it. Lately I’ve been practicing to not pet Zeus. He doesn’t like it. Hard, because I want to be all over my very first horse. Today when I put him the paddock after our stroll, we stood together in horse time. He moved close breathing that wonderful hay breath all over my face. We converged in peace in horse time. Anna, I learn so much about respect from you. Thank you!

Wonderful, he volunteered. I know what you mean about wanting to be all over him… but good for you. This way is authentic… means so much more. Good for you and even better for him. Thank you for this comment, it means alot to me.
Yes he was wonderful. I actually broke away first because it was so emotionaly intense. Thank you!
🙂
How did you get them to lie down head-to-head like that?
They did it all by themselves!
That’s so beautiful Anna. So poetic, profound, inspired, poignant. I want it on my wall to read everyday.
