Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss

Celebrating the second anniversary of Grace (aka Embrace) joining the Infinity Farm herd.  This was her first llama kiss, from Belle, official horse greeter. (They told me that horses and llamas always hate each other, but it isn’t true. ) Anna Blake, Infinity Farm. WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- … Read more

They Love It, Even if You Do a Lousy Job.

Horses appreciate a curry any time, but now especially. It’s dry and they are itchy. There is old hair to shed off and new hair to grow in. It’s cold at night and muscles get tight, not to mention, they are all one year older than they used to be. But I think horses appreciate it most of all because it is an acknowledgement of trust.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

“Home interprets heaven. Home is heaven for beginners.”  C.H. Parkhurst. Home at Infinity Farm. WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone. No psych, definitely not high-tech.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Love

Not a great shot, it’s in my writing studio- a tiny room with a giant desk. Only a few feet of open space and these dogs don’t ever sleep together. It isn’t pretty. But it was a heart-hard day, and someone had to guard the door. Dog Love. People aspire to love as unconditionally, as … Read more

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Horses inspire dreams of beyond, it’s their gift. But for a rider to get there, we have to celebrate exactly where we are now, ever so patiently in the moment, with just part of an eye to the horizon beyond. Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them. Albert Einstein Anna Blake, Infinity Farm. … Read more

Surviving Old Age: Part One.

Can we talk about surviving old age?  It isn’t mine I’m worried about. It’ll catch up without any help from me. I am more concerned with the herd here at Infinity Farm. We used to positively percolate with vitality and there was a dancing  joie de vivre here on the windy, treeless prairie. Everyone bounded … Read more
