Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward

I use the word forward every day. In equine terms, it defines a preferred way of moving, but Edgar Rice Burro defines forward differently: Brash, impertinent, assuming, audacious, bare-faced, bold, brazen, cheeky, confident, fresh, impudent, presuming, presumptuous, pushy, rude, sassy, smart, uppity, wise. Donkey-like. Anna Blake, Infinity Farm. WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt … Read more

Walter, Walter, Walter.

Walter is starting to settle in with us. Now I get to go to the bathroom by myself… about once every three days. It’s the kind of thing you expect from a herding dog, but being a rescue as well, Walter likes to go the extra mile. I’ve had a couple of requests for an … Read more

Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss

Celebrating the second anniversary of Grace (aka Embrace) joining the Infinity Farm herd.  This was her first llama kiss, from Belle, official horse greeter. (They told me that horses and llamas always hate each other, but it isn’t true. ) Anna Blake, Infinity Farm. WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- … Read more

They Love It, Even if You Do a Lousy Job.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

“Home interprets heaven. Home is heaven for beginners.”  C.H. Parkhurst. Home at Infinity Farm. WordPress Photo Challenge is a weekly prompt to share a photo- I enjoy twisting these macro prompts to share our micro life here on the Colorado prairie. My photos are taken with my phone. No psych, definitely not high-tech.

Let That Pony Run!

February is an unstable time of the year. It isn’t spring and it isn’t winter. There are a few 50 degree days that trick us into spring fever before the heaviest snows even come. Still, the horses are shedding, days are longer and it’s hard to not want outside again full-time. There’s no rhythm in … Read more

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique

The Wild Texas Wind, aka Windy. Not a particularly unique name. She’s a chestnut mare, no shortage of those. She was a stay at home mom, the world is run by those. She came to live here late in life because she lost her home, a too common condition for horses. Windy survived several changes … Read more

Weekly Photo Challenge: Love

Not a great shot, it’s in my writing studio- a tiny room with a giant desk. Only a few feet of open space and these dogs don’t ever sleep together. It isn’t pretty. But it was a heart-hard day, and someone had to guard the door. Dog Love. People aspire to love as unconditionally, as … Read more
