No shy curve, she takes a direct line. The
big mare trots up with authority, her ears
shouting orders in all directions at once, her
body dwarfed by an ageless spirit that has
yet to find its limit. If she needed you, she’d
never let it show. Settle your doubt and
stand with equality, tall and square, as she
tosses out a bold challenge with the flash of
her tail, a disarming question in the arch of her
brow. The big mare has a broad chest, straight
legs, and her coat is the color of soil that could
grow rose gold, imperial topaz, and chocolate.

Wow!! In case anyone was feeling all I’m-the-human-and-I- know-it-all like!
Or those of us that like to cluck and patronize… Thanks, Gail
You just described my young mare 🙂
Good luck keeping up…:) Thanks Gail
So very much love to meet this rose gold, imperial topaz, chocolate mare…..
Keeping up with her might require donkey time?
Kim, you would like her. She isn’t obvious.
Huh. I think I might know her. The smaller version.
Not sure they come in a smaller size. Maybe shorter?? Thanks, Linda.
I have never had a mare and rarely ridden one, but I know from past trainers and current friends what a challenge they are — no wonder they lead the herd. To Brits, they are like Nature’s Howlers (our aunts), to use a Harry Potter term.
Nuala
They require our best, gotta love that. Thanks, Nuala
We need the likes of her.
Or maybe we need to treat them all as if they are like her. Thanks Lynell.
This is so powerful… I can see her very well in my mind.
Thanks, Sarah.
It´s me.
Or my horsey Alter Ego.
Teeheehee! Yay, Asa.
Your response to Lynell pretty much sums it all up. Thank you!
🙂
