Weekly Photo Challenge: Circle

squirrel (640x360)

Cats curl in a circle more often this time of year. Eliminating extremities makes her nose warmer than mine, for sure. This is Squirrel; she’s an old cat–a little stiff with a few more pointy bones every year. We lost her brother recently and taking over for him has been…well…satisfying.

But right now, her circle is helping conserve warmth. She’ll need her energy for the upcoming moth season. It’s always important to have something to look forward to.

  1. My cat does the same – even more so-plants the front of her face against whatever shes sleeping on. I wonder sometimes how she even gets air!!! Cold here (NYS) this morning and windy – guess winter finally made it. I guess its been that way for a while out there. Stay covered up & be CAREFUL (I imagine you are well on the road to normal, now?)

      • OK – I’ll give you that. Actually three months is a heck of a lot better than the usual five! We had such a warm December – not like winter at all. But the temp was 1 degree this am when I took Suzy out. Remember telling someone last year that I would rather have snow than cold – and we did! Not much at all so far this year.

    • Penny, I almost wrote to you–you were one of his minions. He was Hank until the end, and he left a huge hole. We muddle on, some lighter than others. Hope you are well.
